By Subway

FROM MANHATTAN:

• Take the R or V (the V has no weekend Steinway service) to Steinway Street.
Use the 34 Avenue exit near end of train. Walk south along Steinway Street, turn right on 35 Avenue. Proceed 2 blocks to Museum entrance at the corner of 37 Street, near 35 Avenue.

• E to Queens Plaza. Change to R or V
(G on weekends) and proceed to Steinway Street.
Follow the directions from the 34 Avenue exit as detailed above.

• N or W (the W has no weekend Queens service) to Broadway (Astoria). Walk east to 36 Street. During construction, the Museum entrance is on 37 Street, near 35 Avenue.

FROM BROOKLYN:

• On weekends: G to Steinway Street.
Use the 34 Avenue exit near end of train. Walk south along Steinway Street, turn right on 35 Avenue, proceed 2 blocks to Museum entrance at the corner of 37 Street, near 35 Avenue.

• On weekdays: the G train terminates at Court Square. Transfer to a V train at Court Square/23 Street-Ely Avenue to Steinway Street.

FROM EASTERN QUEENS:

• 7 to 74 Street and Roosevelt Avenue. Walk downstairs to the E, G, and R lines. Take the Manhattan or Brooklyn-bound R or G to Steinway Street.
Use the 34 Avenue exit near end of train. Walk south along Steinway Street, turn right on 35 Avenue, proceed 2 blocks to Museum entrance at the corner of 37 Street, near 35 Avenue.

By Bus

FROM MANHATTAN:

Queens Surface Transit Q101 (departs from 58th Street and Second Avenue round-the-clock every 15 to 30 minutes) to 35 Avenue in Astoria. Walk west on 35 Avenue.During construction, the Museum entrance is on 37 Street, near 35 Avenue.

FROM FLUSHING:

Queens Surface Transit Q66 "21st Street" to Steinway Street and 35 Avenue. Walk west on 35 Avenue and proceed to the Museum entrance at the corner of 37 Street, near 35 Avenue.

By Car

FROM MANHATTAN VIA QUEENSBORO BRIDGE:

• Lower roadway:
Exit onto Northern Boulevard (NY 25A) and follow it to 35 Street, turn left onto 35 Street. Proceed to 35 Avenue and turn right. During construction, the Museum entrance is on 37 Street, near 35 Avenue.

• Upper roadway:
Follow signs to 21 Street. Turn right onto 21 Street and proceed to 35 Avenue. Turn right onto 35 Avenue and proceed to 37 Street.

FROM UPPER MANHATTAN AND THE BRONX VIA THE TRIBOROUGH BRIDGE:

Exit at 31 Street (first exit in Queens). Turn right onto 31 Street (under the elevated subway) and proceed to 35 Avenue, following signs for the Museum. Turn left onto 35 Avenue and proceed to 37 Street.

FROM EASTERN QUEENS AND LONG ISLAND VIA GRAND CENTRAL PARKWAY:

Exit at 31st Street, exit #45 (the last exit before the Triborough Bridge) and get into the left lane. Turn left onto 31 Street (under the elevated subway) and proceed to 35 Avenue, following signs for the Museum. Turn left onto 35 Avenue and proceed to 37 Street.

FROM WESTCHESTER AND CONNECTICUT VIA THE WHITESTONE BRIDGE:

Follow the Whitestone Expressway to the Grand Central Parkway (Westbound). Exit at 31st Street, exit #45 (the last exit before the Triborough Bridge) and get into the left lane. Turn left onto 31 Street (under the elevated subway) and proceed to 35 Avenue, following signs for the Museum. Turn left onto 35 Avenue and proceed to 37 Street.

FROM NORTHERN NEW JERSEY VIA THE GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE:

Harlem River Drive to the Triborough Bridge. Exit at 31 Street (first exit in Queens). Turn right onto 31 Street (under the elevated subway) and proceed to 35 Avenue, following signs for the Museum. Turn left onto 35 Avenue and proceed to 37 Street.

FROM BROOKLYN:

Brooklyn-Queens Expressway East to Northern Boulevard. Exit and go left (west) on Northern Boulevard and proceed to 35 Avenue (which intersects at a 45 degree angle). Turn right onto 35 Avenue and proceed to 37 Street.

FROM GREENPOINT, BROOKLYN:

Cross the Pulaski Bridge. Make a right onto Jackson Avenue and continue until it changes into Northern Boulevard. Proceed along Northern Boulevard to 35 Street and turn left. Proceed to 35 Avenue and turn right. The Museum entrance is on 35 Avenue at the corner of 37 Street.
